Press hörbert’s volume button to turn it on and off. After turning it on, it will resume playing from the point where it was last turned off.
Each of the colorful buttons is assigned to its own playlist. If you press one of the colorful buttons, hörbert will play the songs or audiobooks of the corresponding playlist one after the other. Simply press another button to play a different playlist.
With the gray button, you can fast forward audibly within a track, and with the black button, you can jump back to the beginning of the current track.
The operation of our products is intuitive and analog. There is no display, navigation through the content is done at the touch of a button. However, content and functions are managed digitally via any W-Lan-capable device (2.4 GHz) using an Internet browser. We call it browser SET mode:
This allows you to easily change hörbert’s settings or manage tracks and web radio stations without any tools or special software. From firmware version “Butterfly” onwards, the browser set mode is available, all you have to do is connect to the device via WLAN. hörbert opens its own WLAN when you press the SET button inside.
No follow-up costs! Unlimited content is available to you via Internet radio over Wi-Fi. The web radio stations can be added to playlists just like regular tracks. The browser set mode offers a search function by station name to help you find the radio stations.
Or maybe you want to stream music from your phone via Bluetooth, like with any regular Bluetooth speaker? All you need to do is press hörbert’s volume control twice in succession to turn it on, and connect your phone.

Not everyone should or wants to listen in all the time? Then use your hörbert with up to two Bluetooth headphones simultaneously! This way, it won’t get boring for two on the back seat in the car, and since hörbert always has to come along everywhere, it’s naturally part of every vacation trip.
To use hörbert as a communication aid, the built-in microphone is used. This makes it easy to record your own messages, which can be accessed later at the press of a button.
Tip: Personal voice recordings from family members add a nice personal touch for hörbert owners.

Many of the most beautiful wooden products come from the German Erzgebirge, and that’s where hörbert is handcrafted. On request, we can provide our 11-button models with a name engraving. With its playlists, numerous features, customization options, and optional extras, you can tailor hörbert to your individual preferences.
Each button plays your personalized playlist, which you can create yourself.
Pressing the same button again takes you to the next song – allowing you to quickly click through your playlists.
With the microphone, you can record voice messages at the push of a button and save them on the SD card.
The fast-forward button allows you to quickly skip forward within a song.
This button takes you to the beginning of the current track. Each additional press moves one track back, all the way to the start of the playlist.
A USB-C cable with a power adapter can be plugged into this port to operate hörbert via a power outlet.
Inside, there is the SET button. With this button, you start the Browser Set Mode, where you can adjust all hörbert settings using a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
We provide an SD card preloaded with lots of content. You can customize it and add your own content.
Only insert NiMH rechargeable batteries here! These batteries are charged inside hörbert, so disposable batteries must never be used. Hörbert’s battery clips remain empty.
Plug and circuit board for the power connection and the charging function of the batteries.
When batteries are being charged in the device, a small LED on the power connection board blinks. It stops blinking when the batteries are fully charged.
