Press hörbert’s volume button to turn it on and off. After turning it on, it will resume playing from the point where it was last turned off.
Each of the colorful buttons is assigned to its own playlist. If you press one of the colorful buttons, hörbert will play the songs or audiobooks of the corresponding playlist one after the other. Simply press another button to play a different playlist.
With the gray button, you can fast forward audibly within a track, and with the black button, you can jump back to the beginning of the current track.
The operation of our products is intuitive and analog. There is no display, navigation through the content is done at the touch of a button. However, content and functions are managed digitally via any W-Lan-capable device (2.4 GHz) using an Internet browser. We call it browser SET mode:
This allows you to easily change hörbert’s settings or manage tracks and web radio stations without any tools or special software. From firmware version “Butterfly” onwards, the browser set mode is available, all you have to do is connect to the device via WLAN. hörbert opens its own WLAN when you press the SET button inside.
No follow-up costs! Unlimited content is available to you via Internet radio over Wi-Fi. The web radio stations can be added to playlists just like regular tracks. The browser set mode offers a search function by station name to help you find the radio stations.
Or maybe you want to stream music from your phone via Bluetooth, like with any regular Bluetooth speaker? All you need to do is press hörbert’s volume control twice in succession to turn it on, and connect your phone.
hörbert’s included memory cards all contain at least 2 hours of pre-installed music and audiobooks. In total, the included card has space for over 50 hours of content (e.g., in MP3 format).
You can transfer your own music or audio plays to hörbert’s memory card. Either by uploading files from a mobile phone/tablet or PC in browser setup mode, or by simply copying files into the folders on hörbert’s memory card from a PC with a card reader.
And the best part? The content on your memory cards belongs to you! You don’t need an account or an internet connection to use it.
Not everyone should or wants to listen in all the time? Then use your hörbert with up to two Bluetooth headphones simultaneously! This way, it won’t get boring for two on the back seat in the car, and since hörbert always has to come along everywhere, it’s naturally part of every vacation trip.
To use hörbert as a communication aid, the built-in microphone is used. This makes it easy to record your own messages, which can be accessed later at the press of a button.
Tip: Personal voice recordings from family members add a nice personal touch for hörbert owners.
We focus on the highest quality and health safety in the production and use of materials. hörbert is made from sustainable, local wood, stainless steel and only a small amount of recyclable plastic for the electronic components. Production takes place under socially just conditions in Germany.

And in case of emergency, hörbert is of course repairable!
Many of the most beautiful wooden products come from the German Erzgebirge, and that’s where hörbert is handcrafted. On request, we can provide our 11-button models with a name engraving. With its playlists, numerous features, customization options, and optional extras, you can tailor hörbert to your individual preferences.
Each button plays your individual playlist, which you can manage yourself.
Pressing the same button again moves you to the next song – so you can quickly navigate through the playlists.
The fast-forward button allows you to quickly skip forward audibly within a song.
With this button, you jump to the beginning of the current track. With each additional press, you go back one more track, up to the start of the playlist.
The microphone allows you to save voice recordings to the SD card with the press of a button.
Inside, there is the SET button.
With this button, you start the browser-SET-mode, where you can make all hörbert settings via smartphone/tablet or computer.
Only use NiMH batteries here! These batteries are charged in hörbert, so never use regular batteries here. hörbert’s battery clips remain empty.
The microphone is already built into your hörbert.
We provide a pre-loaded SD card with lots of content. You can re-record it individually.
