Our Swiss memory card “Matterhorn” is a blast! Many great Swiss artists have contributed fantastic children’s songs in Swiss dialect.
We have loaded 71 enchanting Swiss children’s songs onto the memory card. In addition to the songs, there are 4 wonderful stories and audio dramas. Sometimes lively, sometimes gentle, sometimes funny, sometimes cozy – captivating variety is guaranteed. In total, a listening pleasure of 4.5 hours. Here we are happy to introduce the fantastic artists to you.
Benno, Morris, and Bridget are best friends. No wonder they live in the same neighborhood, take the same route to school, and have classes side by side. Shortly before the holidays, a new girl appeared: Steffi. She so eagerly wants to find new friends. One evening, she saw from the kitchen window three of her classmates disappear into the basement of an old locksmith’s shop. She crept behind them. As quiet music boomed from the thick wooden door, it was clear: Steffi wanted to be part of it…! Since then, the 4 friends make children’s songs together and share their passion on stage. A homage to friendship and the great joy of making music together!
On our memory card “Matterhorn,” Silberbüx contributed great songs and an audio play: the audiobook “Silberbüx and the City Robber” and 14 songs from the CD “Silberbüx – Uf Räuberjagd”!

After the pleasing sales figures of his first two recordings “Rocke wie die wilde Socke” and “Häxesaft mit Zouberchraft,” Christian Schenker fulfilled a dream: He hired his favorite musicians to record the next album “dr Kickboard-Kuno chunnt!” with them. The original idea was merely to record a CD together. However, the participants enjoyed the collaboration in the rehearsal room and studio so much that by the end of the recording sessions, the question arose: “Shouldn’t we celebrate this joint work together?”
Since this CD release in December 2002, each concert brings further inquiries, and thus both the radius of action and the number of performances grow.
Since then, the Grüüveli Tüüfeli have been releasing one CD after another: Following “dr Kickboard-Kuno chunnt!” (2002) came “Rübis & Stübis” (2005), “Rocke wie die wilde Socke” (2006), “Impfe gäge s’Schimpfe” (2008), “Alles klar, chliine Star” (2010), “Unschuldslämmli” (2013), “Hallo! seit d’Chatz”/“Hallo! sagt die Katz’” (2016), “Das bruuch i no!” (2017), “Chumm, mir boue e Isebahn” and “Gwunderfitz” (2018). On the memory card “Matterhorn,” 19 lively tracks from 6 albums can be heard.
The frontman of the band Grüüveli Tüüfeli Christian Schenker initially composed his songs for teaching, later he made a living from it. Starting in 1992, the kindergarten teacher and music teacher wrote songs for children and those who want to become children.
During his training as a kindergarten teacher, he began writing his own Swiss-German children’s songs. The recordings for the children’s song CD “Dr Kickboard-Kuno chunnt” led to the founding of the band Grüüveli-Tüüfeli in 2002. As an educator, he liked to pack educational and everyday elements into verses and choruses. With an unfailing sense for everything that concerns families and a great penchant for storytelling, Christian Schenker took his audience to various worlds.
Today we remember Christian. Unfortunately, he passed away far too early after a short, severe illness. We mourn him as a hörbert partner, a dear friend, and musician who brought more than just a smile to so many children’s faces.

The two wonderful stories of De Rägebogenfisch, based on the popular children’s book by Marcus Pfister, touch both young and old alike.
The story Die schlau chlii Häx based on the book by Lieve Baeten enchants in a charming way. Lieve Baeten (1954 – 2001) was born in Zonhoven, Belgium. She studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and subsequently worked for advertising agencies and magazines. When she visited the children’s book fair in Bologna one day, she knew: This is what I want to do. From then on she illustrated only children’s books and magazines. She celebrated her greatest successes with her stories about the “Little Witch,” which also achieved great success as an audio drama. This enchanting audio drama has a duration of 43 minutes and is told in Swiss dialect by Karin Glanzmann.
One day, Lisbet finds a suitcase in front of her witch’s house. Of course, she is eager to know what is inside. “Hokuspokus Hexenstich – little suitcase open yourself!” But no matter how often she says the magic spell, the little suitcase remains closed. Could this be the little suitcase for big witches?
In addition to the described audio plays, there are several more children’s songs from the music publisher Turicaphon to hear on “Matterhorn.” The yellow button boasts a full 24 songs: “Enchanting children’s choirs sing catchy tunes for small and large ears.” Meanwhile, the blue button plays “Popular children’s songs sung by children for children” – naturally in Swiss dialect!
