hörbert celebrates its 10th birthday and we review each year with you.
hörbert helps in the Corona year
Who would have thought that the new year 2020 would hold a real challenge in store. Not only for us WINZKIs, but for the whole world! The Corona pandemic is throwing a wrench in many plans.
Disinfectants, constant hand washing, face masks, and maintaining distance have become part of everyday life, both privately and in the company. Fortunately, we have always been prepared to enable working from home whenever the job allows it.
This is how it comes about that Rainer Brang immediately agrees when an acquaintance asks him for help. The aim is to support the voluntary open-diy-project of the local maker scene and use the company’s laser cutter to produce face shields. That’s not all: Some organizations are only allowed to purchase certified items. In response, Rainer Brang quickly develops his own face shield, the ShieldKit, has it certified in a testing lab, and offers it on the open market.
By now, at the latest, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary, it is clear to us that the WINZKIs, with hörbert, are going through thick and thin. No matter what comes. There is no shortage of new ideas and inspirations to make the world a little more colorful.
The year passes under great private and professional challenges for everyone. We are very sorry that many of our sales partners are having a hard time because they have to close their retail stores. Due to the VAT reduction in Germany, we are also reducing our prices for end customers by 3% for the first time in hörbert’s history.
At the same time, we are launching an aid project in cooperation with the charitable, internationally operating aid organization PLAN: At the end of the ordering process, every customer has the option to donate the 3% VAT savings or any other desired amount. The possibility to donate also exists without an active order on our website. In just under half a year, this has resulted in 557 EUR, which we increased to 1000 EUR.
Even though it doesn’t look so nice in the anniversary year and we all have to struggle with Corona and its effects. We are holding up bravely!
