hörbert is the world’s first child-friendly MP3 player made of wood. Its innovative user interface offers 9 colorful buttons for browsing through its playlists. This eliminates the need for an electronic display. hörbert’s extremely energy-saving electronics play music and audio plays from a memory card. Wood, stainless steel, and its high-quality craftsmanship are hörbert’s recipe for sustainable joy of play.
The hörbert special editions come with 9 audio plays each from Benjamin Blümchen or Bibi Blocksberg. The exclusive engraving with the kind elephant or the clever witch quickly captures the hearts of young listeners.
“We see KIDDINX Media as the ideal partner for our product. The popular classics Bibi Blocksberg and Benjamin Blümchen form a perfect combination in the children’s room with our audio player hörbert. Already during our first meeting between Thomas Puchert and me, we had fun developing joint cooperation possibilities,” says Rainer Brang, Managing Director of WINZKI GmbH & Co. KG. Thomas Puchert, Sales Director Licensing KIDDINX Media, adds: “We were immediately enthusiastic about the extraordinary product idea. The classic design combined with innovative technology fits perfectly with our themes.”
WINZKI presents the Benjamin Blümchen and Bibi Blocksberg special editions for the first time at this year’s Nuremberg Toy Fair. The company can be found in Hall 3A at the joint stand of young innovative companies. The two special editions will be available from February 2016 in the hörbert online shop at www.hoerbert.com.

About WINZKI GmbH & Co. KG:
WINZKI was founded at the end of 2011 in Stuttgart-Vaihingen by Rainer Brang, Managing Director. Now based in Nürtingen, the young company produces and distributes “hörbert” (sic), the wooden MP3 player for children as its only product. The revenue growth reflects the success of the product: After 320,000 EUR in the 2014/15 fiscal year, a doubling of revenue is expected in the current fiscal year. Currently, four employees work in part-time and mini-jobs, and additional freelancers. They use the company for their return to work after parental leave. Apart from domestic sales, hörbert is also sold in select European countries, and Switzerland. Primarily intended for children, hörbert has also proven itself in care and educational facilities for people of all ages. A notable highlight of the company history so far is the exhibition “Art Lab: Places and Spaces” at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, where hörbert was part of the exhibition between August 2014 and October 2015.
