Sincere condolences on the death of Christian Schenker.

Yesterday we received the sad news and were very shocked:
The popular Swiss children’s songwriter,
Christian Schenker from Kappel SO, passed away on May 2, 2021, at the age of 50 due to a brain tumor.

From the circle of family and acquaintances it is quoted:
“He endured his illness bravely. After a few months of hope and fear, during which his body grew weaker, the illness was stronger than him.”

Christian – the great artist

Christian Schenker, who was born on March 20, 1971, was always full of creativity and drive.
Even since the outbreak of the Corona crisis and during the lockdowns, he wrote songs for schools about handwashing and gave concerts in his garden according to an article in the Oltner Tageblatt.

Initially, he started his musical career as a solo artist, but later his band “Grüüveli Tüüfeli” joined him.

hörbert, Christian Schenker & Grüüveli Tüüfeli

The hörbert team shares a very friendly and trusting collaboration with Christian Schenker and the band Grüüveli Tüüfeli. We knew Christian as a humorous, warm-hearted, and open person.
On two of our hörbert memory card editions, namely the Swiss free starter card and the “Matterhorn” purchase edition, which is very popular with our Swiss customers, numerous albums by Christian Schenker are included. For example, “Rocke wie die wilde Socke,” “Häxesaft mit Zouberchraft,” “Dr Kickboard-Kuno chunnt!,” “Impfe gäge s’Schimpfe.”

The hörbert team is grateful for the memories we have of Christian. In the form of years of good cooperation, but of course also for the wonderful songs with which he enriched our lives and the lives of our children, and which will endure over time.
