With the new memory card edition “JANOSCH”, hörbert celebrates Janosch’s 90th birthday!

On March 11, 2021, the renowned author and illustrator turned 90 years old. We warmly congratulate him on this occasion!

In the anniversary month, a new memory card edition is being released. For real Janosch fans and those who want to become one ;-).

Who doesn’t know them, the wonderful JANOSCH stories of Tiger and Bear!
In 1960 Janosch’s first children’s book “The Story of Valek, the Horse” was published. Horst Eckert, Janosch’s real name, had his breakthrough in 1978 with his legendary children’s book “Oh, How Beautiful is Panama”, which became a world bestseller.
Janosch’s stories are mostly about realizing how valuable friendship is. This is depicted through the friendship of the little Tiger and the little Bear. Other stories, such as “Dandelion and Silk Paw”, address the topic.

The soft sheep has a birthday, and it seems everyone has forgotten. Sadly, the sheep goes for a walk. While it is cheered up by other animals in the forest, the little lion, the alert dog, the nimble chicken, and the lazy donkey organize a wonderful surprise birthday with many cheerful songs.

  • I Can’t Sleep!

It’s nighttime for the animals on the farm. The nimble chicken can’t fall asleep; it’s not tired yet. Its friends sing a lullaby to it. But now the lazy donkey can’t sleep; he’s scared. The little lion feels homesick. And the alert dog? Heard noises. Luckily, the soft sheep has gone to find the birds. No one can sing better than the birds.
