Mix the ingredients in a bowl with a mixer or whisk for 3 minutes into a smooth batter.
Optional: Fold in the chocolate drops with a wooden spoon.

Fill the batter into 12 paper muffin cases and smooth the tops as flat as possible. Handy tip: A suitable muffin baking tray you can insert the cases into. This keeps the muffins nicely in shape.

Bake at 200 degrees (top/bottom heat) or 180 degrees (fan) for 20 minutes (shelf position: lower third of the oven)

Once cooled, spread the chocolate icing on top with a spoon or pastry brush and place 9 mini chocolate buttons on each, arranged in a square just like on hörbert.

Let them cool and keep the dear sweet-tooths away in the meantime – and the hörbert muffins are ready!

Enjoy!
