Retro-Orange-hörbert in the 70s look

We present here an extraordinary MP3 player in the 70s look of an Orange amplifier.

“I built a hörbert kit in the style of a Mini Orange amplifier at the beginning of 2021, and my now 6-year-old daughter uses the device every day. After I recently replaced the speaker and re-milled the front panel with a Shaper Origin, I wanted to send you a photo of it. Many thanks for this great product!”

“An Orange amplifier model from the late 70s served as the template here, the idea was to stay as authentic as possible with the look and materials. I built it in spring 2021 with my dad’s help in about 3 months. The front panel made of white plexiglas was drilled by hand back then, unfortunately with a few mistakes and cracks, which I was recently able to correct with a Shaper Origin (computer-controlled router, see the 2 additional photos) and thus produced the panel cleanly once again. In the process, I replaced the Visaton speaker with a Dayton Audio PC105-8 full range speaker, as the box is now mainly used for listening to music by my daughter who is now 6 years old.”
