hörbert is extensively configurable in all functions and can be independently adapted to individual requirements – or with the help of our service team. The barrier-free version has an interface for external buttons or control devices, enabling application scenarios that go far beyond the capabilities of other devices.
hörbert’s barrier-free version has a connection for external buttons or control devices. hörbert can be turned on/off with a single button. A battery disconnect is therefore unnecessary. Optionally, a second button can be used to control hörbert. The appropriate Y-cable is included.

Press hörbert’s volume button to turn it on and off. After turning it on, it will resume playing from the point where it was last turned off.
Each of the colorful buttons is assigned to its own playlist. If you press one of the colorful buttons, hörbert will play the songs or audiobooks of the corresponding playlist one after the other. Simply press another button to play a different playlist.
With the gray button, you can fast forward audibly within a track, and with the black button, you can jump back to the beginning of the current track.
The operation of our products is intuitive and analog. There is no display, navigation through the content is done at the touch of a button. However, content and functions are managed digitally via any W-Lan-capable device (2.4 GHz) using an Internet browser. We call it browser SET mode:
This allows you to easily change hörbert’s settings or manage tracks and web radio stations without any tools or special software. From firmware version “Butterfly” onwards, the browser set mode is available, all you have to do is connect to the device via WLAN. hörbert opens its own WLAN when you press the SET button inside.
No follow-up costs! Unlimited content is available to you via Internet radio over Wi-Fi. The web radio stations can be added to playlists just like regular tracks. The browser set mode offers a search function by station name to help you find the radio stations.
Or maybe you want to stream music from your phone via Bluetooth, like with any regular Bluetooth speaker? All you need to do is press hörbert’s volume control twice in succession to turn it on, and connect your phone.
Not everyone wants or should listen in on their surroundings – for this case, Bluetooth headphones can be connected with hörbert.
Specifically for people with hearing impairments, there are extra loud headphones that can be connected to hörbert via Bluetooth.
To use hörbert as a communication aid, the built-in microphone is used. This makes it easy to record your own messages, which can be accessed later at the press of a button.
Tip: Personal voice recordings from family members add a nice personal touch for hörbert owners.
We focus on the highest quality and health safety in the production and use of materials. hörbert is made from sustainable, local wood, stainless steel and only a small, recyclable plastic component for the electronic parts. Manufacturing takes place under socially fair conditions in Germany.
This, in combination with characteristics like durability, repairability and minimal packaging, is our approach for an environmentally conscious and meaningful handling of electronic products.
And if push comes to shove, hörbert is naturally repairable!

With its playlists, numerous features, customization options, and optional extras, you can tailor hörbert to your individual preferences.
