Description
Empty 4GB SDHC Card, Class 4 for 51 hours of music and audiobooks (or 17 hours for hörbert 2011)
The SD card is already formatted in FAT32 format.
Note for hörbert 2021 (with rotary knob for switching on/off):
If you want to prepare the SD card for hörbert without the hörbert software and record it with your own audio files – this is possible with a hörbert with Butterfly firmware – then you must first connect the SD card to your computer via an SD card reader and access the SD card via your file manager (e.g. Windows Explorer or macOS Finder).
Create 9 folders for hörbert’s 9 playlists in the root directory of the card. Name the folders from 0 to 8.
0 = dark purple button / 1 = red button / 2 = dark blue button / 3 = light green button / 4 = yellow button / 5 = dove blue button / 6 = light blue button / 7 = orange button / 8 = dark green button
You can then copy your own audio files into the playlist folders using drag & drop or copy & paste. You can find out more about recording your own files in our FAQ.
Note for hörbert 2011 (with toggle switch for switching on/off):
This memory card has been specially tested for permanently low latency and is therefore also suitable for hörbert 2011. It is a Class4 memory card. Memory cards with high latency can cause stuttering in hörbert 2011 due to the built-in processor, which is the case with most commercially available Class 10 (and higher) cards.
To record your own audio files on the memory card, you need the hörbert software. The hörbert software automatically creates the correct folder structure when the card is read in.
